Cone Health Foundation Awards Grant for THP Client Services and Expanded HIV Testing
Triad Health Project (THP) is proud to announce the Board of Directors of Cone Health Foundation has approved the award of grant funds for the THP Direct Client Services & Expanding Testing Program. THP’s Executive Director, Reidel Post, states, “We are fortunate to have the longstanding support of Cone Health Foundation. Our community has been served with a level of medical case management, prevention and health education that is only possible as a direct result of their investment in our work.”
THP is the only agency in the Greater Greensboro area offering a continuum of services to address the HIV epidemic in our community. Each year, THP provides case management services for 500-560 people living with HIV. THP provides health education, HIV/STI testing, risk reduction counseling, and linkage to medical care and treatment for nearly 2,000 individuals who tested positive for HIV or another STI.
As described by Sandra Boren, Vice President, Senior Program Officer for Cone Health Foundation, “THP holds an important place in the continuum of care for people struggling with an HIV diagnosis. THP staff is on the front line of client services and is responsible for ensuring that clients have access to the services and care they need. Their work directly impacts access to care for clients and many times they are the first responders when someone is diagnosed with HIV. That’s why Cone Health Foundation is proud to support the work of Triad Health Project.”
